About Isaias Zamarripa
Isaias Zamarripa has been speaking nationally for two decades on the topics of Diversity, Diversity Staffing , Interviewing and Employee Networks. He has taught the opening Interviewing class at the Consortium for Graduate Study of Management for 12 straight years. He recently started his own consulting firm Three Degrees from Isaias focusing on the Attraction and Retention of a Diverse Workforce. He recently was with General Mills for over a decade as the Director of Talent Acquisition and Diversity.
Last year was named Executive of the year for 2009 by NSHMBA where he had been the head of the corporate Board of Advisors for the last 4 years.
Isaias received his BA in Communications and Psychology from Marquette University and his MBA from Columbia University in New York , focusing on HR. Right after graduation he started his career with Exxon as a HR Generalist and then went on his own, opening his own Recruiting Firm specializing on Diversity Staffing. After being on his own for 6 years he returned to Corporate America as a Recruiting Manager for AMOCO in Chicago. He stayed there until the purchase of AMOCO to BP and left to join General Mills a decade ago.
Isaias has been very active in outside organizations all his life. He is one of the founding fathers of NSHMBA starting the Houston Chapter 20 years ago and starting the Minneapolis Chapter. He has spoken at SHPE, NSBE, NSBMAA, CGSM and NALC to name a few organizations. Locally he is on the board of the ORDWAY in St Paul and had been for 15 years on the Chicago Latino Film Festival Board.
