About Bill Wells
Bill is President, W. Wells & Associates, a consulting company specializing in developing strategic plans for advancing diversity and creating a Culture of Inclusion. Previously, Bill served as Managing Partner for InclusionINC and prior to that ran his own diversity consulting business. Starting in 2000, Bill held the position of Vice President, Global Diversity & Chief Diversity Officer for The St. Paul Companies. Earlier, Bill held various executive level positions in the telecommunications and insurance industries.
Bill has also served as legacy contributor and co-producer for the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity & Inclusion. Additionally, as President, Twin Cities Chapter of National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), Bill was instrumental in creating the Minnesota Boulevard Consortium with a focus on recruitment and retention of diverse business professionals to the Twin Cities. Bill is also the immediate past national Chairman for NBMBAA and continues to serve on their Board of Directors.
Currently, Bill serves as a mentor to diverse business professionals including a global program designed to assist high-potential female professionals advance their careers. Throughout his career, Bill has received numerous awards including the Chairman’s Leadership Torch Award - Diversity Champions, Corporate Innovation Award, Outstanding Achiever in Business & Industry and Outstanding MBA of the Year.
Bill holds several degrees including an MBA, marketing major, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Bill is a life member of both the NBMBAA and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity.
