About Howard Tarkow, J.D.
Howard Tarkow has provided effective, practical, service-oriented, and cost-effective representation to employers on labor-management and employee relations disputes and issues for over 30 years. He represents for-profit and nonprofit business clients on just about every type of workplace legal matter, with an emphasis on helping employers solve both their trickiest and simplest problems with their employees, the union representatives of organized employees, and candidates for employment. Howard has successfully represented employers in hundreds of discrimination claims, at the bargaining table, in grievance and arbitration proceedings with unions, and in National Labor Relations Board matters. He partners with human resources professionals, and serves essentially as outside general employment and labor counsel for numerous employers. Howard has received national and local recognition for his work as a lawyer and his professionalism. He was in the first class of Minnesota lawyers that received the Minnesota State Bar Association’s certification as a labor and employment law specialist pursuant to the Rules of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Outside of his law practice, Howard has a longstanding commitment to volunteer and community service.
