About Heath Rosenthal

Heath J. Rosenthal is the Senior Manager of Employee Relations at ESPN. In his role, Heath’s goal is to ensure that everyone at the company is treated appropriately and with respect so that they can work in an inclusive and productive environment.  Some of the many aspects of his job include: helping employees understand company employment policies; ensuring that the policies are implemented appropriately across the company; resolving conflict among employees; providing workplace policy training; assisting managers and employees navigate through performance issues, and helping employees deal with stressors from outside of work that affect their ability to perform their jobs.

Heath also serves on the leadership team of ESPN’s LGBT Employee Resource Group, “ESPN EQUAL”.  Last year, Heath helped create and launch the “Allies of ESPN EQUAL”, a program at ESPN where non-LGBT employees help foster a workplace where LGBT employees are accepted, included and supported.

Prior to joining ESPN, Heath practiced employment law at Davis & Gilbert LLP and litigation at Willie Farr & Gallagher LLP, and served as the law clerk to the Honorable Frank Maas, United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York. While in law school, Heath served as an extern for the Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund.  While practicing law, Heath provided legal counsel to the Matthew Shepard Foundation and served as a three-year member of the New York City Bar’s Committee on LGBT rights.
