About John P. Rasmussen

John P. Rasmussen is executive vice president of Education Financial Services, a division of Wells Fargo’s Consumer Lending Group and America’s second largest provider of private student loans. Rasmussen oversees the student lending business for Wells Fargo, focusing on helping customers make informed borrowing decisions about financing college education for their family members.He is responsible for all sales, operations, quality, compliance, and support functions.
Rasmussen joined Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in 2004 to lead Centralized Retail Operations, which includes the telesales platform and the Corporate Institutional Group. He assumed leadership of Education Financial Services in 2013.

A veteran of the mortgage banking industry, Rasmussen has held senior leadership roles with various nationwide mortgage lenders, such as Bank ofAmerica,GMAC and Prudential Home Mortgage.
Rasmussen is passionately involved within his community. He serves on the board of Project for Pride in Living, actively engaged in their employment and strategic planning committees.He also is amember of the Phillips Partnership, which is a public/private partnership focused on development of the Phillips neighborhood in Minneapolis.
He is also involved with the Wells Fargo Minnesota Leadership Council, a boardmember of the Wells Fargo Team Member Networks, and the executive sponsor of the Wells Fargo Black / African American Connection Team Member Network.
Rasmussen holds a bachelors degree in finance from University of Wisconsin Whitewater, in Whitewater, Wisconsin, and a master’s degree in business administration in management from University of St. Thomas, in St. Paul, Minnesota.
