About Jim Norman
Jim Norman has more than thirty years of progressive experience in line management, human resources and diversity management. He began his career in Operations Management in 1980 with Oscar Mayer. Over the next six years he worked in various manufacturing assignments before moving into his first Human Resources role as Assistant Human Resources Manager.
In 1995, Jim came to Kraft Foods Corporate Headquarters in Northfield, IL as Manager of University Relations and Professional Staffing for North America. Afterwards, he held Human Resource Associate Director generalist assignments with the Kraft Pizza Company and the Kraft Foods Research & Development Group. He was promoted to the position of Director of Diversity for Kraft Foods North America in January of 2001. Jim retired from Kraft Foods in 2013 and has continued to leverage his experience, expertise and insights as a senior consultant helping organizations achieve their talent management, organization excellence, diversity and inclusion objectives.
Jim received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Northwestern University.
He served as President of the Employment Management Association Foundation and Vice President-at-Large for the Employment Management Association from 1999-2003, in addition to serving on the Advisory Council for the American Institute for Managing Diversity (AMID) from 2002-2004.
