About Joseph Marth, Ph.D.

Joseph Marth, Ph.D., has 20 years of experience in Human Resources in both small and Fortune 250 organizations, as well as in the for-profit and non-profit sectors.  He has worked for such companies as T-Mobile USA, Citigroup, Nationwide Insurance, OCLC Inc., and Ernst & Young.  Joe is currently Vice President of Business Solutions at Washington Employers, where he also serves on the organization’s executive team. He holds a Ph.D. from The University of Akron, with a doctoral concentration in Organizational Psychology and a cognate in Business Management.  He also has a Master’s of Science degree in Adult Education from The University of Akron and his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Kent State University. Joe has expertise in many aspects of Human Resources, including: Diversity and Inclusion, Change Management, Strategic Planning and Execution, Employee Satisfaction and Engagement, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Emotional Intelligence, Competency-based HR, Team/Group Facilitation, and Process Improvement. He is a full member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology (SIOP), and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
