About Monica Marcel
Originally trained as a civil engineer, Monica’s expertise and perspective grow from work and travels in over 40 countries with clients from Fortune 100s and international professional associations, to world class universities, and the U.S. Peace Corps. She specializes in sustainable, culturally competent solutions that connect organizations to their local on-the-ground operations. Her expertise includes global diversity projects across North America, Asia, South Africa, Latin America, and Europe—with a particular focus on India, China, Eastern Europe and North America. Monica’s been adjunct faculty for the MBA program at Loyola University Chicago and quoted in the Chicago Tribune, Boston Globe, Toronto Star, and Ottawa Citizen as well as SHRM, ASTD, and ECOA periodicals. She is a contributing author for DBP’s “Global Diversity Primer”. A handbook she co-authored for developing non-profit agencies in the former-Soviet Union was translated into three languages. She also publishes on global ethics and culture transformation.
