About Tan Kirby Davis

Tan Kirby Davis is founder and president of The Kirby Resource Group (KRG), a management consulting firm specializing in Strategic Diversity and Organizational Effectiveness. Tan is a nationally recognized expert in Strategic Diversity & Inclusion.  Her firm received recognition from Working Woman magazine’s for their 2001 Southeastern Region Entrepreneurial Excellence Award.  Tan is listed in the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) speakers’ directory for her Diversity expertise. She is also a contributing author of a new book, Aging Education, published in 2004 by University Press.  Tan has over twenty-nine years of experience in the Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Strategic Diversity. She spent twenty-four years with a Winston-Salem, NC based division of the Sara Lee Corporation in a variety of positions, including Director, Workforce Diversity.  She developed a Diversity training program that was recognized by University Review magazine as an industry best practice. She also provided leadership in the establishment of two corporate Diversity benchmarking groups: The Diversity Strategy Consortium and the North Carolina Diversity Benchmarking Consortium.  KRG also uses the Polarity Management process in working with Clients nationwide. KRG has successfully launched a new product series (iTeam21) that provides organizations metrics based tools and innovative processes for teambuilding and inclusion in the 21st century workforce.
