About Taneeza Islam

Taneeza Islam, Esq. received a Master of Arts degree in the Program for Intercultural Management and Diversity Training from the School of International Training in Vermont. She received her Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law and was admitted in the MN Bar in 2008.  Since then she has worked vigorously enforcing nondiscriminatory laws as a Complaint Investigator at the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights and currently as the Civil Rights Director at the Council on American Islamic Relations – MN Chapter (CAIR-MN).  With this educational background she has developed and implemented diversity trainings for schools, government agencies, and employers on building awareness on Islam and Muslims, generating creative options for religious accommodation per industry standards and understanding the basics of nondiscriminatory laws.
