About Craig Herkert
Craig Herkert is chief executive officer of Minnesota-based SUPERVALU INC., one of the largest grocery retail companies and leading food distributors in the United States.
Herkert joined SUPERVALU in 2009 from Wal-Mart, where he most recently served as president and CEO of The Americas. Prior to joining Wal-Mart, Herkert spent 23 years with Albertsons and American Stores. From his first job at Jewel-Osco as a teenager, Herkert built a long, successful career with the company. Across his tenure, he held positions including president, ACME MARKETS and executive vice president, marketing.
