About Maja Hazell
As the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, Maja D. Hazell leads an independent department and oversees all firm-wide diversity and inclusion initiatives. She creates strategies and programs to improve diversity of cultural background among firm attorneys and achieve equal opportunity for women, racial and ethnic minorities, LGBT lawyers and lawyers with disabilities. Maja currently serves as President of the Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals, and serves on the New York City Bar Association Committee to Enhance Diversity in the Profession. She is a member of NALP and the Society for Human Resources Professionals and has conducted educational presentations for both organizations. She is also a frequent lecturer at national law schools on effective interview skills, professional development strategies, and diversity initiatives. Maja received her B.A. in English from Yale University and J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
