About David Goldstein
David Goldstein is a Shareholder at Littler Mendelson, the nation's largest law firm dedicated exclusively to the representation of employers in employment, labor, and benefits matters.
Mr. Goldstein has tried cases to judges, juries, and arbitrators and has substantial experience representing employers in class action litigation. He has tried two class action lawsuits to judgment and represented clients in other class or collective actions, including actions brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. He is also experienced in using mediation and other dispute-resolution techniques to resolve claims effectively and efficiently.
Mr. Goldstein has devoted a significant portion of his practice to assisting employers in preparing and obtaining approval of affirmative action plans and in representing government contractors in connection with OFCCP, state, and local compliance reviews.
Mr. Goldstein’s experiences include the representation of employers involved in construction, media, technology, manufacturing, higher education, and sports and entertainment, including teams in the NFL, NHL, and NBA.
Before joining Littler Mendelson, Mr. Goldstein was a partner at Faegre & Benson, LLP, where he practiced for 22 years in the firm's Labor and Employment Law Group. Mr. Goldstein received his J.D from the Harvard Law School and has an undergraduate degree from Haverford College.
Mr. Goldstein is also a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of Twin Cities Rise! The mission of Twin Cities Rise! is to provide employers with skilled workers -- primarily men from communities of color in the Twin Cities area -- by training under- and unemployed adults for skilled jobs paying a living wage.
