About Daniel Duty
Daniel Duty is Target’s Director of Business Partnerships & Negotiation and the Executive co-Chair of the company’s GLBT Business Council. He has responsibility for facilitating the company’s strategic alliances and driving the company’s multi-billion dollar negotiation strategy. Prior to joining Target, Daniel worked as an aid to Senator Paul Simon on foreign affairs matters, a trial attorney for the US International Trade Commission, corporate counsel to General Mills, and the principal of his own negotiations consulting group. Daniel founded the GLBT Employee Resource Group at General Mills in 1992 and led efforts to establish non-discrimination policies and domestic partner benefits. He is a founding board member of District 202, a center for GLBT youth, and has served numerous GLBT related organizations including HRC, Open Arms, OutFront MN and the MN AIDS Project. As Executive co-Chair of Target’s GLBT group, he is focused on developing workplace strategies that drive an inclusive culture, as well as ideas to help Target reach the GLBT market.
