About Jermaine Davis

Jermaine M. Davis is an award winning Professor of Communication Studies at Century College in Minnesota. He has been teaching college adults to communicate effectively for the past twelve years; during his tenure Jermaine received the prestigious student-nominated College Instructor of the Year Award. Jermaine holds a MA in Speech Communication and a second MA in Education with a concentration in Teaching and Learning. Cornell University recently recognized Jermaine as a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional (CCDP) through its Diversity Management Program (a designation held for less than 300 people in the Country). He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education in Organizational Leadership with concentrations in the areas of Women’s Leadership, Courageous Leadership and Diversity Leadership. 

Jermaine is the author and co-author of 11 books and 5 audio books including: Get Up Off Your Butt & Do It NOW, Leading with Greatness, Be Diversity Competent,  You Don’t Have to Sell Out to Stand Out and The Stand Out Quote Journal  Series.

Jermaine is the CEO, Co-Founder and President of two companies: Seminars & Workshops, Inc. and The Stand Out Leadership Company, both organizations specialize in providing workshops and creating learning resources and products to help individuals grow and develop personally and professionally in life, school and work. He is recognized as one of the country’s most requested keynote speakers, workshop leaders and college entertainers. Jermaine delivers keynotes and workshops to some of America’s leading organizations including 3M, Best Buy, Wells Fargo, American Express, Enterprise Rent-A-Car and the United Way. Jermaine is a native of Chicago, IL and now resides in St. Paul, MN.
