About Tracey Burton

As a seasoned Target Corporation employee, Tracey has contributed in various leadership capacities including Senior Counsel Employee Relations, Human Resources Director of Stores, and is currently Target’s Director of Diversity.

Previous to Target Corporation, Tracey Burton served as Director of Compliance, Risk Management, and Regulatory Affairs at the University of Minnesota Physicians.  She also served as an Assistant Vice President (Federal Lobbyist & Employment Law) at The St. Paul Companies and Assistant Attorney General for the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office.

A native of Iowa, Tracey is a graduate of the University of Iowa and holds a law degree from the University of Iowa.

Tracey has been involved with a variety of boards including:
Minneapolis Legal Aid, Jack and Jill of America, Minnesota Women Lawyers, Penumbra Theatre Company, Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers, and The Urban League Coalition.

Tracey is married and has two children.
