About Robert Shoemake

Bob Shoemake serves as the Director of Programs & Membership at the Center for Ethical Business Cultures (CEBC) at the University of St. Thomas (UST) and as a member of UST’s adjunct faculty, teaching in both its Opus College of Business and its Department of Theology.  CEBC is a not–for–profit educational organization which assists business leaders in creating ethical and profitable business cultures at the enterprise, community and global levels.  Now in its 32nd year, the Center is one of the nation’s oldest business–founded and business–led centers focused on corporate citizenship and business ethics.

Shoemake develops programming in leadership and values, in work/life and the Minnesota Business Ethics Award™, grows the Center’s membership base, oversees the Center’s print publications and media presence and develops training tools for ethical leadership development, including Enhancing an Ethical Business CultureSM, used by the Center in its work with senior business leaders.  

Shoemake received a Master of Divinity from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, and has completed further graduate study at institutions in South Carolina and Minnesota.
