About Rowzat Shipchandler

Rowzat Shipchandler of The Saint Paul Foundation will facilitate the interactive portions of the session. Rowzat has several years of experience working on diversity issues and anti-racism work, including facilitating more than 50 New Conversations workshops and speaking about the issue.

Rowzat has been project manager of the Facing Race anti-racism initiative at the Foundation since spring 2005.  Before that, Rowzat spent five years at Greater Twin Cities United Way.  In 1996, Rowzat designed an outreach program to communities of color for the Minnesota Crime Victims Reparations Boards. Rowzat has served as a trained facilitator with Dakota County's Restorative Conferencing for the past four years.  She has an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a B.A.J. in Journalism and Political Science from Indiana University.
