About Kjirsten Mickesh

As Director, Diversity & Inclusion, Kjirsten has responsibility for General Mills’ workforce diversity and inclusion strategies, initiatives and consultation, providing support to HR professionals, functional leaders and General Mills’ employee diversity groups.  In this role, she designs and facilitates training sessions to equip employees and management to build a culture of inclusion in all General Mills work locations. Since she joined General Mills in 1997, Kjirsten has performed a variety of HR roles including providing HR support for the Supply Chain and Sales functions & co-leading a HR systems integration project.  

Kjirsten has worked in consumer packaged goods, medical technology, aerospace and metal stamping industries. Kjirsten contributes her time in the community as a board member for the Multicultural Development Center & on planning committees for YWCA and University of St. Thomas events.  She spends much of her free time with her husband of 20 years & her 2 sons.
