About Frank McCloskey
In his 37-year career with Georgia Power, Frank McCloskey has held various management positions in operational areas of the company. He has been the Vice President of Diversity for the past ten years, responsible for strategies to sustain a culture of excellence through inclusion where every employee feels valued, respected and productive.
He is a past chair of the Atlanta Urban League, the Korea-Southeast U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Atlanta. He is a member of various organizations, including the Conference Board’s Council of Diversity Executives and the Anti-Defamation League Southeast Region Board of Directors. He serves on the Workplace Program Advisory Council of the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding and the editorial board of INSIGHT Into Diversity.
McCloskey participated in the March of the Living, traveling to Poland and Israel to learn the lessons from the Holocaust. He also was a member of a World Pilgrimage to Turkey and Greece with Jewish, Christian and Muslim clergy and community leaders from Atlanta to find common ground between these faith communities. McCloskey has received the Willie O’Ree National Hockey League “Black Ice” Diversity Award, the Rainbow PUSH Coalition’s Keep Hope Alive Equal Opportunity Award and the American Institute for Managing Diversity’s 25th Anniversary Diversity Leader Award.
