How to Build a Cultural Competence Education Curriculum
S6-G | Thursday, 3:30 PM
Track: Employment Practices (EP) | Level: Intermediate
Session Overview
Any Diversity & Inclusion Program will only be as strong as its Cultural Competence Education program. Some practitioners are continually having difficulty moving the education from a ‘chekbox’ to a beneficial interactive learning experience. Are Computer Based Training courses sufficient? How much should I budget? How do I respond to the lack of time for education?
With over 9 years experience as a Diversity Practitioner and Education Facilitator, Cal will discuss possible solutions for organizations struggling with the build-out of an education curriculum.
Cal will review education programs and proposed ‘wish lists’. In this session, participants will discuss various examples of curriculums, calendars, evaluations, and learning materials. Including utilizing consultants as a resource."
