MULTICULTURAL FORUM ON WORKPLACE DIVERSITY
2009 CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The planning committee for the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity invites you to
submit proposals for sessions for the 21st Annual Multicultural Forum, to be held at the St. Paul
RiverCentre, March 3 and 4, 2009.

Sessions should be interactive and workplace driven, designed to provide in-depth practical information, how-to solutions. Examples from actual business experience are encouraged. Session lengths can be 90 minutes or 3 hours, thirty minutes long and average betweeen 50 and 75 participants.

Broad categories of sessions are needed:

• Critical or Emerging Issues
• Diversity Development (strategic)
• Employment Practices (tactical)
• Government
• Health Care
• Legal/HR
• Small Business/Non-profit

Attendees at the Forum come from the following general areas within corporate, educational, government, healthcare, legal, non-profit and small business organizations:

• Diversity Consulting
• Diversity Management
• Human Resources
• Managers, Executives, Professionals
• Recruitment
• Students

Proposals should include the following information:

• Session title
• 3 to 5 learning objectives (what attendees will take away from this session)
• Brief description
• Level of difficulty (introductory/intermediate/advanced - for definitions click here)
• Speaker/panelists with contact information (not more than five total presenters)
• Concise bios for each presenter exhibiting expertise in subject matter
• Audiovisual requirements
• References for your work with contact information
• Handouts will be required, but do not need to be sent with proposal
