Conference Highlights

Ask those who attend the Multicultural Forum on Workplace Diversity year after year. They will tell you it is THE conference for discussion on workplace diversity—from defining diverisity and inclusion (D&I) to hiring people with disabilities. Here are just a few things you can expect from your experience at the Multicultural Forum.

Professional Development Institutes – PDIs are now offered on a pre-conference day only, March 20. Designed to give you the time you need to explore diversity strategies and tactics or understand complex and challenging diversity issues. Look for new topics or perennial ones examined in new ways.

Featured sessions – These sessions are on the topics everyone is talking about…or should be. Presented by thought leaders from around the country, these are workshops you don’t want to miss.

Challenging topics – Too many conferences talking about the same thing? Not the 2012 Forum. From what really works (and what doesn’t) to an examination of post-racial America to Christian privilege in the workplace, these are the sessions people will be talking about both during and after the conference.

Global track – A focus on workplace issues for the diversity professional or the professional working in a diverse workforce…but with a global frame of reference.

Diversity Executive Session – Content just for diversity executives. These invitation-only events are designed solely for those ultimately responsible for diversity and inclusion within their organization.

High level speakers and panelists – Presentations by diversity practitioners from major U.S. corporations and top diversity consultants providing practical solutions and best practices from multiple companies.

Two day workshop schedule – Nine concurrent workshops during each time block on both Day 1 and Day 2, totaling 54 workshops in all. This menu of workshops will allow you more opportunities to attend the sessions you need and provide practical information, tools and how-to solutions on workplace diversity and inclusion.

Career Fair Back by popular demand, the Forum will provide an in-person career fair on March 21.

Two-day Resource Expo – More time with exhibitors from more places means greater opportunities and more information for Forum attendees.

Extensive networking – 1,200 participants expected from multiple industries throughout Minnesota and the U.S. representing organizations committed to advancing diversity and inclusion. Look for the closing reception to bring you all together.
