This year, University of St. Thomas School of Law test takers were second in the first-time test taker category behind the University of Minnesota and ahead of Hamline in third and William Mitchell in fourth.
The University of St. Thomas School of law posted an overall bar passage rate of 90.32 percent and a first-time bar passage rate of 93.91 percent. The overall bar passage rate was 90.86 percent for all takers.
The first time bar passage rate increased over last year, along with the overall bar passage rate. The overall passage rate for all July 2010 exam takers also increased over 2009’s passage rate. Congratulations to ABA Regional Negotiation Champions The team of Jihone Du ('11) and Tim Flynn ('11) out-negotiated teams from throughout the Upper Midwest and won the American Bar Association Law Student Division Regional Negotiation Competition this fall. As regional champions, Du and Flynn will now move on to Atlanta, GA, and the national championship which will be held on February 11-12 in conjunction with the ABA’s mid-winter convention.
