Two UST Law Graduates Receive Recognition from Minnesota Lawyer as 2011 Up & Coming Attorneys
Minnesota Lawyer announced its 2011 Up & Coming Attorneys. Each year Minnesota Lawyer recognizes attorneys for their professional accomplishments and their leadership service to the community and the profession. Among the 28 attorneys recognized this year are UST School of Law graduates Bryan Feldhaus (’06), who works at Lommen Abdo Cole King & Stageberg, P.A., and Laura Hammargren (’08), who works at Dorsey & Whitney. Congratulations, Bryan and Laura!
U.S. News & World Report releases annual law school rankings
The annual U.S. News rankings of law schools were released this week, and the University of St. Thomas School of Law tied for 135. This is the first time that the University of St. Thomas School of Law has been numerically ranked, reflecting a change in U.S. News and World Report policy. The previous four tier system has been replaced by a two tier system with schools in the top 143 ranked numerically in the top tier and schools above that placed in the second tier and listed alphabetically rather than in numeric order. Alumni Relations Office Seeks Suggestions for Free/Low Cost CLEs
As a service to our wonderful graduates, the Office of Alumni Relations will host at least two free or low cost CLE opportunities for alumni and friends. This spring the Alumni Relations Office hosted a CLE on starting a solo practice, as well as the upcoming CLE on conversations about race and racism. We would like to keep this trend going! To help us identify CLEs that meet your needs, let the Director of Alumni Relations, Nicole Fredricks Jackson, know what CLE opportunities you would like to see.
