We are thrilled that Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) renowned professor and author Dr. Gilbert Strang will provide a Center for Applied Mathematics (CAM) colloquium at 4 p.m. Wednesday May 21, 2014 in the 3M Auditorium of the Owens Science Center on the St. Paul campus of the University of St. Thomas. Titled “Matrices with Banded Inverses,” this colloquium is sponsored by the University’s Department of Mathematics and the Center for Applied Mathematics and it is free and open to the public.
