Online Placement

Online placement is available to all students taking math at UST.  Students should visit the Math Placement Information page to receive information via email for the placement exam.

Tests Available

Calculus I – MATH113
The exam consists of two required parts.  Calculus – Part I assesses your algebra skills, including logarithms and quadratic equations with 25 questions and a time limit of 30 minutes.  Calculus – Part II assesses your functions and trigonometry knowledge with 25 questions and a time limit of 40 minutes.

Business Calculus - MATH111
The exam consists of 32 questions and a time limit of 45 minutes to assess your knowledge of functions and algebra.

Calculus with Review – MATH 108
The exam consists of 32 questions with a time limit of 45 minutes and assesses your knowledge of functions and algebra.

Finite Math or Mathematical Sampler – MATH 100 or 101
The exam consists of 32 questions with a time limit of 40 minutes and assesses your knowledge of equations and number properties.
