Mathematical Competitions

Students are encouraged to participate in any or all of three competitions held throughout the academic year.  More information is provided on the individual web pages.  Weekly practice sessions will be announced.

• North Central Section of the Mathematical Association of America Competition
  second Saturday in November
  Saturday, November 10, 2007, 9:00-12:00, at UST.

• William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition
  first Saturday in December
  Saturday, December 1, 2007, at UST.  The morning session runs from 9:00-12:00 and the afternoon session runs from 2:00-5:00.

• Konhauser Problemfest
  last Saturday in February
  Macalester College hosts on Saturday, February 24, 2008, 9:00-12:00, followed by a free lunch and results presentation, when graders are finished.
