"What can I do with a major in Mathematics?"
Students graduating in mathematics are prepared to make contributions in many fields. Those heading immediately into the work force are hired to support engineering and financial companies. Others with strengths in statistics may pursue positions in medical or other fields where testing and reliability are important. There are also strong groups of teachers who graduate from UST in mathematics as well as those who go on to further studies in professional schools (in law, business, medicine) or graduate programs related to mathematics (including engineering, economics, and biostatistics). The habits of rigorous thinking and focus on applied problems found in the UST MATH curriculum seem to be good preparation for many careers.
