History:  The Actor's Theater of St. Paul was established in 1977 by Michael Alan Miner.  This professional equity theater was housed on the campus of the College of St. Thomas and performed in the Foley Theater.

The group became successful in the early 1980's through the  assistance of grants from the United Arts Fund and the development of a strong patron base.  After seven seasons, the company moved to a theater in downtown St. Paul in 1984.

Scope/Content: The collection consists of scripts, play books, set designs and music relating to productions mounted by the Actor's Theater of St. Paul from 1977 - 1982.

Provenance:  The materials in this collection were given to the Department of Special Collections by the Actor's Theater of St. Paul.
