Printing


Each library has black-and-white laser printers for the public computers. There are color printers at the Keffer and O'Shaughnessy-Frey Libraries. Each student has an allotment of 400 pre-paid copies or printed pages per semester. Black and white prints for non-UST people, and copies over the 400 allotment are 10 cents per page and require the purchase of a copy card.  Color prints are 25 cents per page. UST users: check your Print Management Status.

Alternatives to printing

  • Save to disk:  Many of the libraries' electronic resources let you save records to your personal storage (MyStorage or u:\ drive), your home computer, or other external storage devices.  Some databases allow you to choose between saving in text format or html.  If you need assistance, ask a reference librarian or send an email to Ask a Librarian.
  • Email:  Many of the libraries' electronic resources let you email search results to yourself or someone else.  If you need assistance, ask a reference librarian or send an email to Ask a Librarian.

Photocopying


Self-service black and white copiers are available in each library   Copiers are on the print management system. To make a copy type in your ID number and the mm and dd of your birthday.  All black and white copies are 10 cents per page.  Express cards can be used to purchase copy cards.

Copy cards


If you do not have a UST username and password, or you have used up your allotment, you may purchase a copy card.  They are available at Circulation desks in O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library and Ireland Library) for $1.00 and $5.00.  The card can be used for photocopying and printing.

Change machines in O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library

  • Level 1, Room 111
    Takes $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills (gives change in quarters)
  • Level 2, Microforms Room
    Takes $1 bills and quarters (gives change in quarters and nickels)

NOTE:  Keffer and Ireland Libraries do NOT have change machines available. At Ireland Library the public copier takes bills (gives change in coin).  The Keffer and Ireland Circulation desks can make change on request, though we ask that you please bring your own change.

Scanners

There are four computers on the lower level of O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library with scanners for use by the UST community.  At Keffer Library, there are four scanners on the lower (main) level.  At Ireland Library, the staff/faculty multifunctional copier scans. 

Microform printing

All microform printers use coins or UST Express card.

  • O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library, Level 2, cost 10 cents per page with coin or Express card
  • Keffer Library, lower (main) level, cost 10 cents per page
  • Ireland Library microform reader printer
