Library Instruction & Information Literacy @ UST

The instruction program assists UST students, faculty,  and staff to learn how to navigate the complexities of print and electronic resources available to them. The Libraries' staff provides instruction to those with all levels of experience with research and the use of library materials.

Library instruction is designed to help students understand how to:

  • construct a research strategy
  • use library tools (like catalogs and periodical indexes) to select resources  appropriate to the topic
  • use these resources (books, journal articles, web sites, etc.) to find relevant information
  • evaluate and synthesize the information discovered
