Services for current students outside the metro area

Services for current UST students taking classes outside of the metropolitan area

To be eligible for the following services, you must be taking UST classes outside of the seven county metro area. Any service requests listed on this page received from students taking classes in the metro area will not be honored.

  • We have documentation for accessing many library databases from off-campus sites. Check the list under each subject on the Databases & Indexes page.
  • We provide reference service by telephone, email, fax, or post. Reference services include assistance in selecting and searching a database, and reserving time on a computer if you are planning a trip to campus. If you do not have access to the web, we'll work with you to do a bibliographic search.
  • We offer document delivery of pages from reference works, periodical articles, and circulating books.

Please check the ILL document delivery page for any costs associated with receiving materials. Our assistance and searches are provided at no extra cost.

Because of your distance from us, please start your research as soon as possible. The speed in which we can deliver your requests varies on a number of factors. The sooner you start on your project, the higher the probabilitiy of receiving the items you need. We fill requests on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you're planning a trip to campus, you may want to check our campus maps page. You may also want to set up an appointment with a librarian familiar with your field of study. Check our Liaison Librarian list.
