Wireless access is available in all of the Libraries and many other locations on campus. Anyone who has an active UST computing account can connect to the wireless network, once they have registered with their username and password. Non-affiliated guest users can also access our wireless network, with some limited privileges.
To connect to the wireless network, follow your computer's instructions for locating an available UST wireless network; in Windows it's typically an icon in the task bar at lower right that you can click to display a list:

Once the list displays, click to select a network name that begins with "UST-", as above, then click the "Connect" button at the bottom of the page (not shown here). Your computer should display a message in the taskbar area at lower right when connected.
Once the computer has connected to the UST wireless network, go ahead and open a browser window. You should see some version of the following message:
Once the page reloads (or you've clicked "HERE"), you should see this login page:
UST affiliated users should fill in their username and password. Guests should click the "Guest Access button. In either case, the next page that appears should be the UST Responsible Use of Computers policy page:
UST-affiliated users will see a slightly different message in the box at the bottom of the page, but all users must agree to abide by the policy by pressing the "Accept" button. That should be it, the page should reload to the UST home page and the user should have access. If you have problems connecting, see the tech support students in the OSF or Keffer libraries, the Tech Desk Too desk in the basement of the OSF library, or call the IRT Tech Desk at 2-6230. See IRT's Connecting to Wireless page for technical requirements and other important information.
You cannot currently print directly from the wireless network, but you may transfer files from your laptop to a public network computer for printing by using a USB key or by saving them to your U: drive. This may change, so check the IRT Wireless page for the current status.
