Wireless access

Did you know that you can access UST network resources from your laptop computer?

In order to use the wireless network, your laptop computer must have a wireless network card preinstalled; it must be running Windows 2000 or XP, or Macintosh OS X operating systems; and it must have anti-virus software installed.  In addition, for Minneapolis campus wireless network use, you must register your computer.  See IRT's Wireless @ UST FAQ for technical requirements and other important information.  You can ask for assistance at Scholars (Minneapolis), the Keffer Library reference desk, or the Lower Level service desk in O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library.

You cannot print directly from the wireless network, but you may transfer files from your laptop to a public network computer for printing by using a USB key or by saving them to your U: drive.  See IRT's Wireless @ UST FAQ for technical requirements and other important information.

Public research computers

The library offers twenty-eight PCs and and two Macintosh computers in our public computing area on the first level. The multimedia area offers access to five PCs which are available to perform scans, manipulate images, or complete other projects that utilize specialized software.
