Creating alerts in Ebsco databases requires users to first sign up for a free individual account. To do so, go to the database and hit the "Sign In" link at the top of the page, then select the "I'm a New User" link on the following page to access the registration form.
Go to the Ebsco database that contains your journal (if you don't know this, check our Journals A-Z page). At the top of the page, select the "Publications" link and search for your title in the browse list. For an RSS feed of the contents, simply click on the orange RSS feed icon next to the title to get the RSS fee URL.
To set up an e-mail contents alert, select the title, then hit the "Journal Alert" link at the upper right. You'll then need to log in to your personal Ebscohost account to access the sign-up form for the alert, where you can select the duration of the alert, your email address, etc.
Go to the Ebsco database covering your discipline and perform your desired search. At the top of the search results, select "Create alert for this search." For an RSS feed alert, simply copy the "Syndication Feed" URL from the resulting window.
For an e-mail search alert, complete the preceding steps, then select the "Folder" link at the top of the page. Login you your personal Ebscohost account, and then select "Search Alerts" at left. Find the alert just created and select "Edit Alert." On the ensuing page, select "E-mail all alerts and notices," fill in the desired e-mail address and edit any other desired properties, and hit "Save."
