We prefer to receive requests via OCLC, but will accept ALA forms by fax or mail or email to libillosf@stthomas.edu
We are open year around and have no extended holiday or vacation closings except between Christmas and New Year's. Our office is generally staffed Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4 pm (Central Standard or Daylight Time.)
We prefer IFM via OCLC, but we will send an invoice with the shipped material when necessary.

We will renew one time for 6 additional weeks from the date of the renewal request, if there are no holds on the book.
No charge to CLIC, MINITEX, ATLA, LVIS and other libraries with whom we have reciprocal agreements. No charge to libraries that indicate on their request to us that they lend for free. To all others: $10.00 if billed via OCLC IFM. $15.00 if billed via invoice.

We do not loan the following through ILL: Reference, Microfilm, Microfiche, Newspapers, Periodicals, Musical Scores, Audio-Visual Media, CD's, DVDs, Software and Computer Disks, and books in the New Books Area. We also do not loan items from our Special Collections, which includes the University Archives, the Celtic and Luxembourg collections, and rare books.
The one exception to our non-circulating policy for microfilms is for the title WEST BRITON AND CORNWALL ADVERTISER (OCLC #39479216). We own the years 1836-1880, and 1887.

We do not charge extra for electronic delivery of photocopy requests. We routinely send photocopies via Ariel or Odyssey if the material is suitable and if you provide an Ariel or Odyssey address. If you require fax delivery, please specify on your request that you require faxing, and provide your fax number. We currently use Ariel version 4.1.1.99.
We do not charge extra for Rush, but PLEASE call to make sure that a staff person is available to handle your request in a timely manner.
We will loan theses and dissertations only if we have a second, circulating copy (the first copy is in Archives and is non-circulating.) We are not able to provide photocopies of our theses and dissertations.
Requests for Reciprocal Agreements welcome. International book loans to Canada and Great Britain and other countries on a case by case basis.
