Document suppliers for ordering articles

Document Suppliers

Here are a number of links to fee-based document delivery suppliers that you can use to order copies of articles. Most have their own internal collections, but are also able to get documents from outside their own collections for you.

Their websites may allow you to place orders online, or will give you instructions for ordering by telephone, fax, or mail. A few of these suppliers require you to register for an account. All of them accept major credit cards, and some allow you to pay by check or money order.

You are responsible for all charges of any documents you order. Expect to pay between $5 to $50 or more per article, depending on how fast you need the item, the method of delivery, and the amount of the copyright royalty. Most of these suppliers allow you to specify your preferred delivery method, whether PDF download, fax, 1st class mail, or courier.

We encourage you to check the holdings of your local library first or to use our ILLiad interlibrary loan service if you aren't in a rush to get an article, especially if you are concerned about the cost per article.
