Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan Services

UST students, faculty and staff may request books, articles, proceedings, theses, and other library material not available at St Thomas.  Law School patrons should use the third link below.

  1.  Your ILLiad Account
Submit all journal requests and non-CLIC book requests through ILLiad, our interlibrary loan management system. ILLiad enables you to easily track your ILL requests.

Use your UST Username and password to log into your ILLiad account.

If your login does not work or you are unable to access your existing account, please contact the ILL department.

*UST Non-law students, faculty and staff should contact JoAnn Toussaint, 651-962-5409, or Faith Bonitz, 651-962-5405.
*UST Law students, faculty and staff should contact Stefanie Hollmichel or Rachel Hawkins at 651-962-4900.

  • Your CLICnet Account
Using CLICnet is the FASTEST way to get books owned by other UST or CLIC libraries. You can place "holds" on books from area CLIC libraries using the CLICnet "Request Item" feature. To request items, use the barcode number on the back of your UST ID. Your CLICnet account allows you to track the status of your "hold" requests, view a list of the UST/CLIC books you have checked out, and renew them online. Be sure to search CLICnet first to see if the book you want is available in CLIC, before requesting it in ILLiad.
  •    ILL for Law School Patrons

ILL Charges

There is no charge for interlibrary loan service, but please use interlibrary loan responsibly. A cost study done in 2004 shows that the cost of one complete ILL transaction averages $17. UST currently subsidizes this cost.
