The world's largest academic multi-disciplinary database, Academic Search Premier provides full text for nearly 4,600 scholarly publications, including full text for more than 3,500 peer-reviewed journals.

This database offers full text plus abstracts and indexing of an international array of peer-selected publications - now with expanded coverage of Latin American, Canadian, Asian and other non-Western art, new artists, contemporary art, exhibition reviews, and feminist criticism. 

Blackwell Reference Online

Blackwell Reference Online is a vast online library giving instant access to the most authoritative and up-to-date scholarship across the humanities and social sciences. 

Credo Reference

Resource of reference materials providing access to about 100 online reference books including encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri and books of quotations from a variety of publishers. Covers both general reference and subject-specific reference titles for a variety of disciplines. Allows for cross-referencing across different books and provides a unique, graphics-based research Mapper for topic exploration.  

Expanded Academic ASAP

Bibliographic references, abstracts, or full text for articles from more than 960 scholarly and general interest publications. Covered subject areas include the humanities, social sciences, non-technical general sciences, and current events.

Balcony Archive Reviews
Over 5,000 movies reviewed by the famous critics in the world.

British Film Institute
The British Film Institute promotes understanding and appreciation of Britain's rich film and television heritage and culture. Established in 1933, the bfi runs a range of activities and services.

Cannes Film Festival

Film History
Extensive site covering the history of film.

Film Literature Index
The FLI online database contains citations to film, television and video articles, reviews and book reviews. You can search the citations or browse by subject headings, browse by person names, browse by production titles, or browse by corporate names

Useful database that allows you to search by film title, cast or crew name, by character, by quote and more.

MFA is dedicated to presenting the best of new and historical independent and international cinema to Twin Cities and greater Minnesotan audiences.

Roger Ebert's Reviews
This sire provides Ebert’s reviews spanning the history of movies from “Birth of a Nation” (1915) to “Fargo” (1996). It covers personal interviews with Alfred Hitchcock, John Ford, Woody Allen, Robert Mitchum, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton and more. It also includes essays about topical and controversial movie subjects such as treatment of sex, violence, politics, and religion.
