Developing Educational Standards
This site has information on educational standards by subject or by state.  It has been maintained since 1995, and content may be reproduced for non-commercial uses by request and attribution.

Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development--ASCD Curriculum Handbook (Keffer Reference, LB 2806.15 A793 1991)  Although the date says 1991, chapters are updated on a cyclical basis, and none are more than 3 years old.  A core title for someone designing curriculum content for any subject area.

Handbook of Research on Curriculum  (Keffer Stacks LB 1570 .H264 1992) provides an overview of curriculum issues in K-12 education.

Curriculum Trends: A Reference Handbook (Keffer Stacks LB 1570 .J33 2003) provides an overview of curriculum trends in the United States from the 1800's to the present.  It also includes information on associations and print or nonprint resources on the subject of curriculum.

International Handbook of Curriculum Research (Keffer Reference LB 2806.15 .I595 2003) is a collection of research reports on school curriculum development in 29 countries.
