Group Study and Meeting Rooms
All UST libraries have rooms that are available for groups to use, but each library has different reservation procedures. Please note that these rooms are not intended to be used on a regular basis by the same group.
- These rooms can be used by groups of three or more people.
- Groups can use a room for a maximum of two hours. Any group study room can be reserved in advance by signing up on the reserve sheets posted on the doors.
- Unscheduled groups must vacate a room when a scheduled group arrives. Groups lose their right to the room if they do not claim it within ten minutes of their scheduled time.
- Although individuals do not sign up to reserve these rooms, a person studying alone is welcome to use a group study room if open, but will need to vacate it if the room is needed by a group.
- The group study rooms are not to be used for regularly scheduled meetings.
In Keffer:
Group study
- Groups may reserve a room in advance by calling 651.962.4664 or stopping at the reference desk.
- Each room is reserved for two hours, but may be renewed as long as it is not needed by other groups.
- Each room contains a computer and white board; VCRs are also available.
Quiet study
- The best place for quiet study may differ depending upon the make-up of library users at that time. The group study rooms may be used by individuals for quiet study as available, but groups wishing to use them will be given precedence. Please ask a library staff member for other suggestions.
