The purpose of the Circulation Department is to enable patrons to locate and borrow library materials. To this end, the Department is responsible for maintaining the patron database, checking books out to patrons, checking in returned books, maintaining the circulating stacks, and serving as the first stop for patrons needing help with library holdings and services.
