SSLRT Instruction and Services
Liaison librarians act as liaisons or subject specialists to faculty, staff, and students in specified academic departments.
- Serving as the primary contact between faculty and staff in those departments and the library
- Providing individualized assistance for students, faculty and staff by appointment
- Assisting with the development and management of library collections in department subject areas
- Assisting faculty with developing assignments
- Developing and providing library use instruction and class presentations
- Creating print and web-based subject guides to assist researchers with assignments and projects
- Assisting with collection analysis for course proposals and accreditation reports
- Developing and providing workshops in a particular subject area and/or focusing on specific resources.
