SATLRT Mission

This round table works with Science and Technology* departments to develop, manage, and evaluate the libraries' collections and related services, and reports to the Collection Management Committee. The specific objectives for this round table are:

  1. Gather and analyze data on the use and content of the UST library systems collections as they apply to the science and technology areas.
  2. Compare and benchmark UST collections in the science areas with similar institutions.
  3. Maintain an appropriate balance between print and electronic formats, and between access and ownership for the science departments.
  4. Monitor and revise departmental material budget allocations in light of current curricular needs and future program changes.
  5. Build consensus between library staff and faculty in the the science departments on the most appropriate materials to be collected by the UST Libraries.

*Aerospace, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering,  (graduate and undergraduate), Environmental Science, Geography,  Geology, Health and Human Performance, Mathematics, Physics, Quantitative Methods, and Software Engineering.
