Headlining the LDCW's yearlong theme "Women & Economic Justice," Ms. Lynsey Addario, a nationally acclaimed photo-journalist, will speak for the 2018 Women's History Month Lecture.

Capturing images in such places as Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon, Ms. Addario gives voice to stories otherwise silenced by conflict and war. American Photo Magazine named her one of the five most influential photographers of the past 25 years. Ms. Addario's courage and poignancy have also been recognized by Oprah Winfrey’s Power List, National Geographic Women of Vision, and others. Her photographs of the Mississippi Delta brought crucial attention to one of the most precarious healthcare epidemics in the United States.

Ms. Addario's best-selling memoir It’s What I Do has been picked up by Warner Brothers for a film to be directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Jennifer Lawrence. We invite you to come hear her stories firsthand.
