The ELS is active in a variety of school and community activities:
  • Sprawl Summit: the ELS sponsored a discussion by community leaders on current and likely future trends in growth patterns/urban sprawl in the Twin Cities greater metropolitan area.

  • Paper Friendly Printing: the ELS is engaged in discussions with the university technology department about how we can cut down on the amount of paper generated at the law school and in the university in general.

  • Adopt a River: the ELS has adopted a portion of the Mississippi River bank.  See the Adopt A River web site for further details.

  • SO2 Pollution Credit Purchase: the ELS is in the midst of fundraising activities to buy some pollution credits to keep them out of circulation and thus out of our atmosphere!

  • Following federal and Minnesota legislative activities involving issues of concern.

  • Environmental Externship: the ELS is engaged in discussions with the law school with the hope of creating an Environment Externship which could involve students earn credit while studying and performing real world environmental law.
