Vocation Retreat Summer 2009

Vocation and the Study & Practice of Law: A Retreat Experience

Students, alumni, faculty and staff are invited to Vocation and the Study & Practice of Law: A Retreat Experience in Janesville, Minnesota, August 14-16, 2009. Prior to each semester, Professors Jerry Organ and Susan Stabile, along with students, host a retreat experience designed to help each participant reflect on how God might be calling him or her to use his or her gifts and talents to serve others in the study and practice of law.

The retreat experience will be held at the Holy Spirit Retreat Center located one hour and 15 minutes from the Twin Cities on Lake Elysian in rural Janesville, Minnesota.

This is a great way to get the new school year started by renewing your relationship with God, by reflecting on how God is calling you to the study and practice of law, and by building relationships with other members of the law school community.

Participants will depart from the School of Law on Friday, August 14 at around 4:00 p.m. The retreat will start with a light dinner on Friday and end late Sunday morning.

The retreat is open to any law student and to alumni but will be limited to approximately 20 people. Retreat participants will incur only travel expenses associated with driving to and from Janesville and a $25 fee to cover the cost of food. Carpooling is available. Sign up by contacting Professor Jerry Organ at 651-962-4919 or jmorgan@stthomas.edu.
