School of Law Professor Lyman Johnson was recently invited by the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law to deliver a keynote lecture for the 28th annual Francis G. Pileggi Lecture at the Widener University School of Law (Wilmington, Del.). The event will take place Friday, Nov. 9.
Johnson will present his lecture to the Delaware bench and bar associations as well as to the student body and faculty at Widener Law. The lecture will then be published in the upcoming volume of the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, the primary law review for Widener Law. The speech, which focuses on corporate law topics, attracts many members of the Delaware corporate bar and normally generates discussion before and after the lecture itself. The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law organizes the annual Pileggi Lecture at Widener University School of Law.
Johnson has served at the University of St. Thomas School of Law since 2008 as the Laurence and Jean LeJeune Distinguished Chair in Law and Professor. He also holds the Robert O. Bentley professorship at the Washington and Lee University School of Law where he has taught since 1985. Over the years, Johnson has taught business associations, securities regulation, corporate finance, and business planning courses.
