Professor Nekima Levy-Pounds spoke at the Black Economic Summit held in North Minneapolis on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 and attended by Governor Mark Dayton. The event was organized by community leaders and attracted more than 400 people in spite of minimal publicity. Professor Levy-Pounds was the first of a series of black leaders, business representatives and community members to speak as the Governor took notes and promised to review and respond to all the concerns that were addressed.
